Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway — open for testing
The 109 km greenfield expressway, built at roughly ₹5,800 crore under Bharatmala, has opened to public traffic on a testing basis ahead of full commissioning. It carries 11 interchanges, 14 flyovers and 86 underpasses, with a closed tolling system.
Ahmedabad–Dholera has come down from over two hours to about 45 minutes. Ahmedabad–Bhavnagar is down from over three hours to roughly one hour 45 minutes. This is the single piece of infrastructure that has most changed the region, and it is largely delivered.
Dholera International Airport — final approach
The airport is reported at around 80% completion, with the runway, taxiways and ATC tower finished and the passenger terminal at roughly 75%. AAI conducted a first trial aircraft landing on 4 June 2026, and the cargo terminal has been reported operational since June 2026.
Commercial operations are being targeted for late 2026. Treat that as a target rather than a commitment — Indian greenfield airport timelines have a long history of slipping, and licensing is a separate gate from construction.
Tata–PSMC semiconductor fab — building out
The ₹91,000 crore Tata Electronics–PSMC fab in TP4 has completed its major structural work, with cleanroom fit-out and machinery move-in underway. First chip output is being targeted around December 2026.
Reported figures on overall civil progress vary between sources, and the scale claims around eventual capacity deserve caution. What is not in doubt is that the structure is up and equipment is arriving, which is a materially different position from a groundbreaking announcement.
Lothal NMHC — phased opening
The ₹4,500 crore National Maritime Heritage Complex at Saragwala, near the Indus Valley dockyard site at Lothal, is being delivered under the Sagarmala programme across roughly 400 acres, with Phase 1A targeted for 2026 and 10+ international country pavilions signed.
For land in the Lothal belt this is the whole thesis. It is a visitor-economy driver, quite separate from the SIR industrial story, and it should be underwritten on tourism assumptions rather than smart-city ones.
